BAA airport parking adds £10 charge for wrong registration plate details

If you thought the airlines were the only ones to think of every conceivable add-on to increase the price of your holiday, think again?

BAA has another add-on that if you don’t watch out could end up costing you an extra tenner for your Heathrow Airport parking, Southampton Airport parking and Stansted Airport parking.

Because BAA airport car parks use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) you are required to advise them of your car registration details when making a booking. If you change your car, or decide to use a different vehicle to travel to the airport, you must advise them of the change of registration in advance. Failure to do so will result in a £10 charge when you leave the car park, as the wrong registration details will delay arrival and departure.
