Cardiff Airport has reduced the cost of its pre-booked parking, seven months after Walesonline revealed that customers booking pre-paid Cardiff Airport parking were paying 25% more than gate prices.
Traditionally with airport parking, it is recognized that booking airport parking in advance is much cheaper than just turning up on the day and paying the gate prices – typically, customers can save up to 60%. However, in January 2011, Walesonline revealed that customers pre-booking at the on-airport NCP car park were being charged £81.50 a week, compared with £65 charged to customers just turning up on the day.
The difference in fees caused outrage however, Walesonline is now reporting that pre-booked fees have now been slashed to £44.50 per week.
