Heathrow could charge £40 for passenger 'drop-off'

Heathrow airport looks like it could be in a win win situation.

The Evening Standard reports drivers could face a £40 charge for taking passengers to Heathrow airport - £20 for dropping off passengers plus a £20 daily parking fee for Heathrow airport parking.

It’s a case of park and pay or don’t park and still pay!

Maybe I'm too cynical, but I sometimes question whether BAA are genuinely concerned about the environment, or just if its another way to earn more money! I think if this charge is introduced there should be a restriction that requires BAA to donate/invest a certain percentage in working with Train and Bus Companies to encourage more services, to encourage alternatives. Most people I know would use public transport more if the schedules and frequency was better and it wasn't so expensive!
