Solar Forest eco parking concept

If you park in the woods today...

... you’re sure for a big surprise!

And indeed you will be if the Solar Forest eco parking idea comes to fruition.

Just as the name suggests, the Solar Forest is a unique design concept for a car park that generates its energy from state of the art, dare we say, beautiful, solar ‘trees’ for emission free recharging of electrical cars.

The design, by Neville Mars, sees a car park that is covered in tree like structures with photovoltaic leaves. The leaves, that follow the sun, collect the power from the sun, sending it to a collection point in the tree’s trunk, which vehicles would simply plug into. And the multitasking leaves also provide shade for the vehicles too, ideal for use in countries that are bathed in soaring sun temperatures from dawn to dusk!

Not only is the Solar Forest energy efficient it would also be a visual extravaganza!
