New park and stay package at Stansted

Radisson Blu Stansted is offering a new park and stay package that includes Stansted airport parking at the on-airport Long Stay car park.

The hotel is linked to the terminal by a covered walkway and customers just need to drop their cars off at the Long Stay car park before checking into the hotel, then catch the transfer bus to the terminal.

The Radisson is a four-star hotel with a beauty salon, a health club and three restaurants. It's worth a stay just to see the Wine Tower, with its 4,000 bottles of wine.

Changes to Edinburgh Long Stay arrival and departure procedures

There have been some changes to the arrival and departure procedures from Edinburgh Airport Long Stay parking.

The company now uses automatic number plate recognition and the new arrival and departure procedures are as follows:

Arrival:

The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) - so customers need to make sure they give the correct car registration number when booking.

Once the machine at the barrier recognises the car number plate, it will give the customer a ticket with their number plate and booking reference printed on it. Customers should keep their ticket safe as they will need it when they leave the car park.

If the barrier doesn't lift automatically, customers should press the intercom button.

Customers then just need to park their car, making a note of which zone they're parked in and which is the nearest bus stop, and wait at the bus stop for the transfer bus.

Departure:

The transfer bus will take customers back to the car park. Customers just need to drive to the exit barrier and put their ticket in the slot - the barrier will lift. If this doesn't work, customers should press the intercom button - they should have a copy of their booking confirmation with them.

The car park also no longer has a manned kiosk, but if customers have any problems, they can press the intercom button for help.
