Help-Me-Park.co.uk Makes TravelMole Web Awards Short List

The prestigious TravelMole Web Awards nominations have been revealed. And so it is with great pride, Help-Me-Park.co.uk confirms they have been short listed for the award’s Best Holiday Miscellaneous Site category.

The nominees have been short listed by an anonymous panel of independent judges, whose identities will be revealed during the awards ceremony.

The Gatwick meet and greet parking company has been nominated for the award as a result of their outstanding web site – it is easy to use for customers, full of quick links and frequently asked questions, as well as honest, no hidden extras quotations and secure booking facilities. The website is also supported by above and below the line web activity, including blogs and social media, actively reporting on the travel news industry for both business and public interest.

The category sees influential players in the travel industry, up against arguably Gatwick’s leading meet and greet airport parking provider. Fellow nominees are household names - Trip Advisor, Holiday Extra and Aito.

The winner will be announced at the awards presentation, now in its 10th year, at the Doubletree by Hilton, in London’s Hyde Park, on 12th September.

Trading Standards has a Buy with Confidence award which is given to reputable businesses that have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards to ensure that they operate in a legal, honest and fair way.

Meet and greet parking tips from the BBC

Your Money Their Tricks programme covered holiday problems last week and highlighted problems with a few meet and greet parking companies at Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton Airport.

The programme tested two meet and greet parking companies at each of the airports and then offered tips for customers of meet and greet parking.

While the full programme is no longer available on BBC iPlayer, there is a short video giving tips to customers - it can be viewed here:

The short video also makes mention of Gatwick Airport's new Approved Operator Scheme for meet and greet parking companies, which currently has nine members.

A list of Approved Operators can be found here http://www.gatwickairport.com/business/opportunities/approved-operator-scheme/ - scroll to the bottom of the page for names.

The meet and greet parking companies that Your Money Their Tricks had a problem with at Gatwick were NOT members of the Approved Operator Scheme.
