Jet Parks Manchester using ANPR

Manchester Airport parking company Jet Parks Manchester is using ANPR to identify vehicles.

Customers should provide car registration number details at the time of booking so that the machine at the car park entrance will recognise their car and the barrier will lift automatically, allowing entry and exit.

Arrival instructions:

Customers should bring a copy of their booking confirmation with them to the car park.

The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). Take a ticket at the barrier, which will lift automatically when it recognises the number plate. The customer then just drives in and parks.

If the barrier doesn't lift, customers should scan the barcode on their booking confirmation at the barrier. If there's no barcode, press the help button.

Departure instructions:

Customers should drive to the exit barrier. If the barrier doesn't lift automatically, they should scan the barcode on their booking confirmation or press the help button.

Holiday Inn Express Stansted parking

If you’re familiar with the Holiday Inn Express at Stansted, you need to be aware that the hotel no longer offers parking at the hotel.

If customers require parking they need to park at the Mid-Stay car park – about 300 metres away from the hotel in the airport grounds.

Customers should park in the car park immediately after checking into the hotel. The hotel’s shuttle bus will transfer them to the terminal the next morning.

On return from holiday, the car park shuttle bus will take customers from the terminal to the Stansted airport car park.

Anti terrorism training for AVPCA members

The new valet parking association at Gatwick (www.AVPCA.co.uk) has agreed to send their staff on anti terrorism training with local police.

The aim of the training is to add awareness of terrorist threats and increase the numbers of eyes and ears assisting local Police in their duty, whilst also building bridges of trust and friendship between the Gatwick valet parking teams and the local Police.

AVPCA members employ more than 200 staff at Gatwick, and as all member companies operate 24 hours per day the staff they employ will add a significant number of trained and knowledgeable people to the efforts already being made to ensure that Gatwick is a safe place to travel through.
